Fata de FIFA 2012, gameplaye-ul va suferi cateva modificari, cele mai notabile fiind:
- imbunatatirea engine-ului Player Impact, pentru a nu mai rezulta animatii nerealistice;
- eliminarea posibilitatii de a face dribblinguri doar prin schimbarea directiei;
- o abordare mult mai tactica a loviturilor libere;
- AI imbunatatit, pentru alegerea traseelor optime in faza de atac.
